MAJOR NEWS! Ya boiiiiii has been selected to be a part of the GLAAD 2025 Black Queer Creative Summit cohort — a gathering of bold, brilliant artists and change-makers building community, legacy, and joy.

What I am most excited about is the opportunity to build with community, create access, and knock down those barriers to entry.

Hosted by GLAAD, the Summit brings together emerging and established Black Queer professionals from across the country for two days of leadership development, industry-specific programming, and intentional community-building. It is a space designed to celebrate and elevate the brilliance of Black queer creators, strategists, and storytellers working across entertainment, media, and cultural advocacy.

At likedee-woo, I’m dedicated to helping people build confident closets that make them feel incredible. My mission is to create a safe, accessible, and inclusive space where all bodies can be styled with care and intention. Many traditional spaces fall short of embracing everyone—especially Big, Black, Thick, and Queer folx—but I’m here to change that. Wardrobes crafted with intention and centered around JOY is the Vibe. JOY IS THE BLUEPRINT. PERIODT.

I have been invited to attend this year’s Summit and am seeking support to cover my airfare and lodging expenses. The event is offered at no cost to participants beyond travel and hotel costs, and will provide:

Professional development opportunities through keynotes and breakout sessions

Networking with peers, mentors, and leaders across industries

Access to curated programming focused on skill-building, creative exploration, and leadership in action

Attending the Black Queer Creative Summit is more than just a professional opportunity—it’s a space to learn, connect, and build with Queer leaders in the industry who understand that QUEER joy is the blueprint. I’m excited about the chance to grow in fellowship, nurture long-lasting relationships, and co-create futures where we all get to take up space, together.

Saying each other’s names in rooms we’re not in, holding doors open, and creating opportunities by us, for us—that’s how we break barriers and build access. I’m committed to championing Queer folx and creating pathways where we all rise, TOGETHER.
