At D’Wu, we’re dedicated to helping people build confident closets that make them feel incredible. Our mission is to create a safe, accessible, and inclusive space where all bodies can be styled with care and intention. Many traditional spaces fall short of embracing everyone—especially Big, Black, Thick, and Queer folx—but D’Wu is here to change that. This is a space where everyone is celebrated for who they are, just as they are.

My Story
My love for fashion started with thrifting. Every weekend, I’d mow my dad’s lawn and use the money to explore Rag-O-Rama (IYKYK) in search of unique, head-to-toe looks that couldn’t be found anywhere else. Styling became second nature—I’d suggest pieces to my friends, often unintentionally, and nothing made me happier than seeing their faces light up when they found the piece that made them sparkle.

Before long, my friends started saying, “What would Wu do?” whenever they needed help putting together a look. I didn’t just give advice—I empowered them to choose pieces that made them feel confident, seen, and like their most authentic selves. Words like "SparkleBih" and ✨ emojis became my signature way of reminding them of their inner baddie. Over time, I even earned the nickname The Sparkle Father, thanks to my brother-from-another-mother (shoutout to Darius!), who said I felt like a mix between a Fairy Godmother and a fierce stylist.

That’s when it hit me: styling wasn’t just a hobby—it was my passion and purpose.
